本稿は,筆者が2008年度に某看護学校で担当した教育学の授業(2単位)を実践していく過程において,対象学生の間にみられた教育観の変容を詳述することにより,看護学生にとって望ましい教育学のあり方を考察したものである。本稿では,まず看護学生にとっての教育学のあり方に関する内外の先行研究を概観した上で,筆者が担当した授業の全履修課程の中で求められる役割を位置づけた。その後,対象となる看護学生に合わせながら進めてきた全授業の記録とそれぞれの授業内容に対する学生からの反応を整理し,学生側にみられた教育観の変容をまとめている。現時点で考えられる看護学生にとって望ましい教育学のあり方として,①現実的且つ実践的に役立つ話を盛り込むこと,②グループでの意見交換や発表の機会を設けることにより,学生の自発性や主体性を伸長するとともに,他者から学ぼうとする姿勢を促すこと,③実習の経験と教育学の学習成果を結びつけられるよう支援すること,の三点が考えられる。

This paper explores effective methods of teaching a course of pedagogy to student nurses by illustrating the process of facilitating an interactive learning environment in a nursing school in Tokushima, which had been employed from July 2008 to January 2009. Started with briefing relevant findings both in Japan and outside of the country, the study clarifies the purpose and position of this course by considering the whole curriculum of this nursing school. It was followed by the detailed description of the way in which each of the classes were co-ordinated and students' reaction to those attempts. Reflecting on the whole process, the following was suggested. Firstly, it was important to include empirical elements and practical suggestions, rather than stressing on theoretical and abstractive aspects of pedagogy in order to draw attention from nursing students. Secondly, it was effective to create an opportunity to share one's view with others through group work activities and presentations so that they could enhance their initiatives and spirits of independence, which might also lead to the improvement of their skills in attentive hearing. Thirdly, it was useful to connect their experience of nursing practices to the learning outcomes of pedagogy in that it could enable them to realise that pedagogy can be applicable in the field of nursing studies.
