Description
Recently it was apparently noticed whether polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA)participateto lifestyle-related disease and metabolic syndrome, such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia. And then serum ω6(Dihomo-γ-linolenic acid, Arachidonicacid)and ω3(Eicosapentaenoic acid, Docosahexaenoic acid)PUFA were measured, furthermoreseveral clinical examinations. To relate the gender serum DHLA, AA and EPA levels in malewere lowered and AA was gradually decreased by aging, but EPA was increased by degrees.DHLA levels were high in metabolic syndrome, in addition to be admitted obesity, hypertension, low HDL-C, highTG, IGT, elevated HOMA, low adiponectin(A)/high leptin(L), what’s more proteinuriawith increasing serum creatinine. In conclusion serum DHLA levels were related to TG, A/L, HOMA, and HDL-C were correlatedwith DHLA, AA, EPA, DHA respectively. It might be thought that metabolic syndrome wasconcerned in the metabolism of the fraction of serum fatty acids, especially DHLA to be related TG.
