成人閉塞性睡眠時呼吸障害の現状について

There are about 2 million patients with Obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome
(OSAHS) in Japan. The morbidity rate of the OSAHS is considered to increase according to
the life style change. After the Bullet-train accident caused by OSAHS patient, the prbrem
of sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome has been well recognised.
Establishment of diagnostic and treatment method for OSAHS is needed. In this
papar, mechanism of upper respiratory obstruction, diagnostic method of outclinic patient
and treatment strategy are disscussed. Recently, portable polysomnography recording
method and nasal contiuous positive airway pressure (nCPAP) method are widely used for
diagnosis and treatment respectively. The weak point and countermeasure of the portable
recording and nCPAP are disscussed.
