Description
Description Alternative
As issues on bicycle safety and promotion have been discussed in these days, the importance of intersection design for bicycles has been recognized 70% of bicycle accidents occur at intersections. The technical studies, however, on the design of intersections where bicycles run on carriageway have not been carried out well. The authors organized a study group of researchers and practitioners and issued a technical guideline. The background, the process, the contents mainly discussed in the study group, and the future problems are described in this paper.
