Description | This study proposes a method of combining microtremor measurements and simple ground modeling. From microtremor measurements conducted on a ground surface, H/V spectral ratios are calculated. Then, a multi-layered soil deposit is replaced with an equivalent homogeneous ground underlain by bedrock. Showing that the simple ground model is suitable to be used in a low frequency range, the ground is attributed to further simplified ground model. Similar computational results are obtained for eigen analysis of multi-layered, irregularly bounded ground between the proposed method and three dimensional finite element method.
