| Description | Transcatheter aortic valve implantation（TAVI）has revolutionized the treatment of symptomatic severe aortic valve stenosis（AS）. Severe AS can be lethal without intervention, but surgical replacement is contraindicated for older patients or patients with high risk for comorbidities. TAVI offers a less invasive option for the treatment of severe AS. TAVI is a viable life-extending treatment in these surgical high-risk groups.
