Description | The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of Mail
Communication Skills on Social Skills. Six-hundred seventy three high school students responded to the MC Skills Scale and Social Skills Scale. Our data analysis of MC Skills gender comparison resulted in finding no difference between gender. Also, results showed that MC Skills influenced Social Skills when the receiver was of the same gender. In addition, "The ability to decipher the other's feelings" was strongly associated with social skills regardless of gender. Finally, the explanatory variable between MC Skills and Social Skills was low when the receiver was opposite sex; which warrants further study. Furthermore, it is likely that this result is the influence of factors other than MC Skills. Therefore, it is necessary to consider new variables, other than MC Skills in future studies. |
