脳卒中を予防するために : 脳卒中ってどんなもの？

In Japan, the new therapy（intra-venous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator（IV rt-PA）therapy）for cerebral infarction within 3 hours of onset was started on October 2005. Hyper-acute therapy has great potential to improve the quality of life after stroke. For new therapy, the patients should come to the hospital very early time from onset. And for early admission, it is important to know what is stroke and what should we do when we find the stroke patients. In this review, we describe the risk factors and symptoms of stroke patients.
